Submit

We are currently accepting article submissions for the 2021 issue. We will accept submissions before 12:00 AM Pacific Standard Time on December 1st. All articles submitted after 12:00 AM that day will be reviewed for our next issue.

We are only open to non-fiction works. We will accept serious articles on any topic, ranging from microbiology to book reviews to art criticisms. Zeka does not shy away from publishing articles because of their controversial position, as long as they are well-written.

To submit an article, please attach it in an e-mail to info@zekajournal.org (see below for more requirements). Please remember that we are unable to guarantee the publication of every article we receive.

Submissions must contain:

  • an abstract in the body of the e-mail (maximum of 100 words)

  • an attached article in either PDF or Word format. If you have the choice, we prefer Word.

  • we prefer that the article is in MLA format, but we will accept Chicago Style and other formats

  • Recommended: general location of the author (country, state, and/or city). You don't need to provide your address; this is just to get a sense of where submissions are coming from.

Please note that we reserve the right to edit any article we receive. If edits are made, we will notify the author beforehand and get his/her approval.

By sending an article to Zeka, you give Zeka First World Electronic Rights for the article.

Eligible authors must be high school students. We will accept simultaneous submissions and articles submitted to (but not accepted by) other journals. You may send as many articles as you want to us. If your article is published in another journal, please notify us immediately.

The Zeka Academic Journal is open to submissions from students around the world and does not discriminate based on national origin, religion, gender, ethnicity, or social status.
